‘Guia de Etiqueta na Saúde Mental’ wins the Globey Awards 2026 jury special award in the Not-For-Profit category. The work, recognised in the sixth edition of the AMIN Worldwide competition, is part of the #EU4Health project, funded by the European Commission.

The Portuguese Red Cross (CVP) is one of the winners of the Globey Awards 2026, receiving the jury special award in the Not-For-Profit category of the international competition promoted by the Advertising and Marketing Independent Network (AMIN) Worldwide, with ‘Guia de Etiqueta na Saúde Mental’, a project developed by Comon.

“For us, this is another demonstration of the positive impact our industry can have on society and proof that good ideas with local impact can have global relevance. In a world where the need to talk about mental health is increasingly urgent, it is even more important to know how to talk about it and how we, as individuals, can act in moments of urgency. As this is one of the first small steps, we are happy to be part of the conversation,” says Ricardo Pereira, CEO of Comon, quoted in a press release.

Launched in June 2025, the guide brings together, for the first time, the rules of social etiquette and the impact they can have on emotional well-being, proposing practical strategies for dealing with situations of emotional distress and promoting the use of psychological first aid.

The publication, which includes contributions from Margarida David Cardoso, Maria João Ruela, Cláudia Semedo, António Raminhos, Marcio Gagliato, Arz Stephan, Rita Redshoes and Nuno Delgado, is available free of charge through CVP’s psychological first aid training courses and online, with editions in Portuguese, English and Ukrainian.

“Taking care of mental health often begins with something as simple as knowing how to ask, knowing how to listen and not dismissing what another person is feeling. For too long, we have learned the social rules of what to say and how to behave, but we have not necessarily learned how to recognise emotional distress or how to respond to it. This guide seeks precisely to help fill that gap,” explains António Saraiva, president of CVP, quoted in the document.

The awareness initiative, recognised at the sixth edition of the AMIN Worldwide awards held in Mexico City, is part of the #EU4Health project, funded by the European Commission and developed with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, in partnership with 28 countries.
