With creative work by Laranja Mecânica and media planning handled by Nova Expressão, its enrolment advertising campaign for the new academic year is guided by the voice of Pepê Rapazote.
Under the motto “Autónoma Generations”, Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa celebrates its 40th anniversary with an advertising campaign for enrolments for the 2026/2027 academic year. Taking into account its four decades of history, the campaign aims to celebrate this milestone, the passing on of knowledge and its impact, paying tribute to all those who have been — and continue to be — part of this journey.
“With the unmistakable voice of actor Pepê Rapazote, who gives voice to this narrative, the video takes the viewer through time — 40 years of generations of students attending Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa,” it explains in a statement.
The campaign is aimed particularly at students entering after completing the 12th grade, or through the after-work programme, for those over 23.
With more than 1,500 MUPIs spread across the Lisbon metropolitan area, 100 television spots, daily cinema screenings and a focus on social media, the campaign was developed by creative agency Laranja Mecânica and film production company Lobby Productions, with media planning handled by Nova Expressão.
